Dr. Shur has over thirty years of experience in government sponsored technology research, telecommunications, and the financial industry. He is currently a Director and Fellow at Peraton Labs. His expertise includes leading edge technology research, systems architecture, systems design, and development of protocols, services and services management.  Dr Shur is an experienced inventor and researcher with over 140 papers and US patents, covering the areas of IP-TV convergence (Standardized in DOCSIS 3.0), real-time multimedia, IP over ATM, Packet Switching technologies, Electronic Watermarking, Web Caching, Multimedia Conferencing, Wireless Systems, Circuit Network/Packet Network convergence, Security, IOT and Cyber-Physical Systems. He has written numerous technical papers on these subjects in the journals, conferences and standards documents of the IEEE, (including a best paper award at IEEE WoWMoM 2010), ACM, Interop, Computer Networks, SCTE, and the IETF. He currently is or has been principal investigator on major projects from US Government agencies including DARPA, (RadioMap, RADICS, SHARE, Open Programmable Secure 5G, Business Process Logic), US Office of Naval Research Serverless Information Services (SISTO) and Dynamic Tactical Communications Networks (DTCN) Programs, US Office of Secretary of Defense, Network Communication Capability Program (NCCP), US ARMY CERDEC I2WD Iron Symphony Program, and US Army CERDEC S&TCD RADICAL Program.
